50-50 Campaign

Our Journey in Action

In February 2001, the members of the Fairport United Methodist Church voted to begin raising $300,000 over the next five years for two objectives:

·        First, for the capital needs of our building, which include upgrades to the sanctuary and parlor, and our fellowship hall.

·        And second, to help people outside our church ¾ in Fairport, in Rochester and even in other countries.

We are using $100,000 of funds we have received in various ways over the years to fund part of this new program:  The 50-50 Campaign:  Our Journey in Action.  Combined with $300,000 we will raise, we will have $400,000 to spend. Fifty percent of the money will go to building needs of capital upgrades and maintenance and the other half we will give away.

We think the goal of the campaign is actually quite modest, and so it is very much within our reach as a congregation.
